The longsnout seahorse has an elongated body covered with bony rings. Its head is horse-shaped with a long tubular snout. It uses its tail to cling to algae and corals. It moves slowly using its dorsal fin. Males incubate eggs in a brood pouch. It changes color for camouflage. Threatened by fishing and habitat destruction.
