Descrição
The redtooth triggerfish has an elongated body dark blue to black, with purple highlights. Its teeth are red, visible when it opens its mouth. It is less aggressive than other triggerfish, but can become territorial. It swims actively and needs space. It feeds on plankton and small invertebrates. In aquariums, it accepts a variety of foods. It can reach 50 cm.

Minimum tank volume 500 liters. Temperature 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4, alkalinity 8-12 dKH. Diet: omnivorous with planktivorous tendency, frozen food, brine shrimp, mysis, and small pieces. Generally compatible with other fish of similar size. Avoid very small fish. Can be kept in reef tanks with caution as it may eat shrimp. Needs hiding places and moderate current.
