Stenopus hispidus, the banded coral shrimp, is a marine shrimp species of the family Stenopodidae. It displays a characteristic red and white banded pattern and long claws. It is often seen in pairs, cleaning fish. Unlike Lysmata, it is more robust and can be aggressive towards other shrimp. It requires a well-established aquarium with hiding places.
