Descrição
Stylophora madagascarensis forms dense branching colonies with thick, rounded branches. The polyps are large and often visible during the day, giving a fuzzy appearance. Its color ranges from pink to purple, sometimes green or brown. It grows quickly under optimal conditions. It is more tolerant than other SPS but requires clean water. It can be aggressive towards neighboring corals through direct contact.

Stable parameters: temperature 24-27°C, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.023-1.025, calcium 400-450 ppm, magnesium 1250-1350 ppm. Intense lighting. Moderate to strong flow. Feeding: photosynthetic, but appreciates zooplankton 1-2 times per week. Minimum tank volume: 100 liters. Compatible with reef fish, but can injure neighboring corals with its stinging tentacles. Leave a 10 cm space around. Easy propagation by branch fragmentation.
