Descrição
Pearl gourami grows up to 12 cm. Its body is elongated and compressed, brownish-silver with pearly white spots all over. The fins are similarly spotted. Males have an orange-red throat during breeding. It is a calm and shy labyrinth fish. It lives in pairs or small groups. It is sensitive to water quality.

This gourami lives in calm acidic waters of tropical forests, often in peat swamps and marshes. The water is soft, rich in tannins, with dense vegetation.

Compatible with other peaceful fish of similar size. Avoid aggressive or boisterous species. Breeding is possible with a bubble nest.
