Description
Males have a blue body, a yellow-orange dorsal fin, and a blue anal fin with yellow spots. Females are brownish. It is a maternal mouthbrooder. It inhabits rocky and sandy areas. Males are moderately territorial. Coloration becomes brighter during breeding. It reaches about 14 cm.
