Description
Chromobotia macracanthus, the clown loach, is one of the most popular aquarium fish. Native to Indonesia, it is recognized by its bright orange body crossed by three broad black bands. It is a gregarious fish that can reach 30 cm and live over 20 years. Its playful behavior and substrate-sifting habits make it a favorite among experienced aquarists.

Care notes
Essential to keep in groups of at least 5. The aquarium must be very large (400 L minimum) with fine sand substrate, many hiding places, and moderate current. Water must be clean and stable. Feed with varied foods: worms, crustaceans, vegetables. Sensitive to diseases if stressed.
