Description

This plant has lanceolate leaves, olive green to reddish, with prominent veins. It reaches 20-40 cm. Growth is moderate. It produces flower stalks with small white flowers. In aquariums, it requires moderate to high lighting to develop its colors. It propagates via stolons. It is sensitive to iron deficiency.

Osiris sword is of medium difficulty. Temperature 22-28°C, pH 6.0-7.5, with moderate to high lighting. CO2 and fertilizer (iron) supplementation is recommended. A nutrient-rich substrate is important. Minimum tank volume: 80 liters. Can be planted in midground or background. Compatible with peaceful fish. Propagation by dividing stolons.
