Description
This plant forms a rosette of lanceolate, dark green leaves, measuring 15-25 cm. Growth is slow to moderate. It produces small white flowers when emersed. In aquariums, it prefers moderate lighting. It is less demanding than other Echinodorus. It propagates via stolons and can form a carpet.

Small-flowered sword is easy to maintain. Temperature 22-28°C, pH 6.0-7.5, with moderate lighting. CO2 addition is not essential. A nutrient-rich substrate is recommended. Minimum tank volume: 40 liters. Suitable for foreground or midground. Compatible with peaceful fish. Propagation by dividing stolons.
