Description
Garra cambodgiensis has an elongated, fusiform body, silvery-grey with a dark longitudinal stripe. Its sucker-like mouth allows it to cling to rocks in currents. Fins are translucent with occasional orange highlights. It reaches up to 10 cm. It is a gregarious fish that lives in schools in the wild. It is very active and constantly sifts through the substrate for food. Its behavior is peaceful, but it can become territorial with conspecifics if space is insufficient.

Care notes
Keep in groups of at least 5 in a tank of 100 L or more. Water must be well-oxygenated with moderate to strong flow. Temperature 22-26°C, pH 6.5-7.5, GH 5-15. Fine sand or rounded gravel substrate is recommended. Add smooth rocks and driftwood to mimic its natural habitat. Omnivorous, accepts flakes, pellets, and appreciates algae wafers. Compatible with other peaceful fish of similar size. Avoid very slow or long-finned species. Perform 20-30% weekly water changes.
