Description
Garra nasuta is distinguished by its elongated, fleshy snout, giving it a unique appearance. Body is elongated, silvery-grey with dark spots. The sucker mouth is located under the snout. Fins are large and powerful. It reaches 12 cm. It is a gregarious fish living in schools in current zones. It feeds exclusively on algae and biofilm. It is very active and can be aggressive towards other Garra if space is insufficient. It needs very clean, oxygenated water.

Care notes
Tank of at least 120 L with strong current (powerhead recommended). Temperature 22-26°C, pH 6.5-7.5, GH 5-15. Sand or fine gravel substrate. Decorate with large smooth stones and wood. Diet: algae wafers, blanched vegetables (zucchini, spinach), and occasional protein foods. Keep in groups of 5 or more. Compatible with current-loving fish like Danios, Rasboras, or other Garra. Avoid slow fish. Perform 30% weekly water changes. Lid mandatory.
