Small bright yellow fish, symbiotic with Acropora corals, very popular in reef aquariums.
Description
The yellow clown goby reaches up to 3.5 cm. Its body is entirely bright yellow, without distinctive markings. It has broad pectoral fins and a continuous dorsal fin. It is a peaceful fish that lives in close association with Acropora corals. Sexual dimorphism is subtle, with males being slightly larger during breeding season.

This small goby lives in symbiosis with Acropora corals in lagoons and shallow reefs. It hides among the coral branches and feeds on zooplankton. It is typically found at depths between 1 and 15 meters.

Care
Care notes
A tank of at least 30 liters is sufficient, but a larger volume is recommended for stability. Maintain temperature 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4, and salinity 1.020-1.025. Decorate with live Acropora corals or structures mimicking their branches. This goby is carnivorous: accepts small frozen crustaceans (brine shrimp, mysis) and fine pellets. It is peaceful with most fish but may become territorial towards other yellow gobies. Beware of jumping: cover the aquarium.
