Description

This fish can reach 12 cm and has a cylindrical body. Its base color is beige to light gray, with 5 to 7 dark vertical bars. The fins are often bluish with red spots. Males are larger and have longer fins. It is a monogamous species that defends a territory around a cave. It feeds on small invertebrates and plankton. Spawning occurs in a cavity, with parents guarding the eggs. In aquariums, it can be kept as a pair or in a small group.

Care notes
