Description
Stringy moss is a fine, delicate aquatic moss forming dense, light mats. Its stems are highly branched, with small narrow leaves. It grows quickly and adapts to a wide range of conditions. It is often used as a foreground plant or to create moss effects on decorations. It can also be grown floating. Its fast growth helps control algae by absorbing nutrients.

Care notes
Stringy moss is very easy to grow, tolerating temperatures from 18 to 28°C. Low to moderate lighting is sufficient, but stronger light speeds up growth. CO2 is not needed. Water can be soft to hard, with a pH of 6 to 8. It attaches easily to rough surfaces. Occasional liquid fertilization is beneficial. It can be trimmed regularly to maintain a compact shape. Beware of algae if lighting is too intense.
