Description

Singapore moss is a slow-growing aquatic moss that forms dense bright green mats. Its fine, branching stems bear small oval leaves arranged in two rows. It attaches easily to rocks, driftwood, and decorations. In the aquarium, it provides shelter for fry and invertebrates. Its soft texture and natural appearance make it a foreground plant for aquascapes. It can also be used in paludariums or humid terrariums.

Singapore moss is very easy to maintain, suitable for beginners. It thrives under low to moderate lighting, without the need for CO2. Soft to moderately hard water is fine, with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. The ideal temperature ranges from 20 to 28°C. It can be attached to supports using fishing line or glue. Regular trimming helps control its growth. It does not require specific fertilization, but liquid nutrients can enhance its density. Beware of filamentous algae in case of excess light or nutrients.
