Description
The banded cleaner shrimp is an elegant species with a translucent body adorned with longitudinal red and white bands. It has long antennae and fine claws. It is a professional cleaner that sets up cleaning stations where fish come to have their parasites removed. In an aquarium, it is highly appreciated for its active behavior and ability to reduce diseases. It is hermaphroditic and can reproduce in captivity.
