Description

Stenopus scutellatus, commonly known as the spotted boxer shrimp, is a species of shrimp in the family Stenopodidae. It grows up to 5 cm. Its body is translucent with white spots and red bands. It has long antennae and claws. It lives in pairs in reef crevices. It is territorial and can be aggressive towards other shrimp.

Care notes

Keep in a reef aquarium of at least 50 liters with plenty of hiding places. Salinity 1.023-1.025, temperature 24-28°C. Varied diet: brine shrimp, mysis, frozen food. Avoid aggressive fish. Can be kept in pairs.
