Description
This shrimp has an elongated body with red and white bands. Its antennae are very long and thin. It is an active cleaner that removes parasites from fish. It often lives in pairs. It is diurnal and moves on rocks. It can reach 8 cm in length. It is a highly appreciated species in reef aquariums. It is generally peaceful but can be territorial with other cleaner shrimp.

Care notes
Temperature 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.023-1.025. A minimum tank size of 100 liters is recommended. Moderate lighting and moderate to strong flow are ideal. It feeds on parasites, but also frozen foods and flakes. It needs hiding places and rocks. It can be kept in pairs. Avoid keeping with aggressive fish. Captive breeding is possible but delicate.
