Description

Tridacna squamosa is a clam of the family Tridacnidae. It can reach 40 cm. Its shell is thick with scales and undulations. Its mantle is colorful (blue, green, brown) with patterns. It lives attached to rocks. It feeds on phytoplankton and zooplankton through its gills. It has symbiotic zooxanthellae.
