Description

The Cherry barb is a schooling fish from Sri Lanka. Males display an intense cherry red color, especially during breeding. It reaches up to 5 cm. It prefers soft, slightly acidic water with dense vegetation. It is an excellent fish for peaceful community tanks.

Care notes

Keep in groups of 6+ in a tank of at least 60L. Soft water, gentle filtration, plenty of plants. Feed with flakes, small pellets, and live foods.
