Description

Colonies are cerioid, forming rounded domes. Corallites are 4–8 mm, with thick walls and well-spaced septa. Dominant color is bright yellow, sometimes shaded with green or brown. Polyps are large and extend generously at night. This species tolerates moderate to high light well. Growth is moderate and regular. It can form colonies of 25 cm in aquaria.

Care notes

Temperature 24-28°C, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.023-1.025. Moderate to high lighting (PAR 150-250) and moderate flow. Nitrates <10 ppm, phosphates <0.1 ppm. Calcium 400-450 ppm, magnesium 1200-1350 ppm. Feed phytoplankton and small zooplankton 1-2 times per week. Minimum tank volume 100 liters. Compatible with most reef fish. Avoid aggressive invertebrates. Easy to frag.
