The Red-finned Paradise Fish is a colorful labyrinth fish from Southeast Asia, prized for its bright red fins and territorial behavior.
Description
This fish has an elongated, laterally compressed body with long, pointed dorsal and anal fins. Males display bright red fins and bluish iridescence on the body. It possesses a labyrinth organ for breathing atmospheric air. It is territorial, especially towards other males, but can coexist with robust species. During breeding, the male builds a bubble nest at the surface. It can produce sounds during courtship displays.

Care notes
Keep this fish in an aquarium of at least 80 liters with a lid to maintain a humid air layer. Ideal temperature is 22–28°C, pH 6.0–7.5, GH 5–15. Provide a varied diet: flakes, pellets, brine shrimp, bloodworms. Avoid small or shy tankmates; prefer medium-sized robust fish. A setup with floating plants and hiding spots is recommended. Regular water changes are important for water quality. Males can be aggressive towards other males; keep as a pair or harem.
