Description

Poecilia wingei reaches 3-4 cm. Males are highly colored with black, orange, green and blue spots. Females are gray. This fish is active and gregarious. It swims throughout the water column. It is very peaceful and compatible with other small fish. Reproduction is simple: females give birth to live fry every 4-6 weeks.

Care notes

A 40 L tank is enough for a small group. Water can be soft to hard (GH 5-20, KH 5-15), pH 6.5-8.0, temperature 24-28°C. Moderate filtration and dense vegetation are appreciated. Feed flakes, pellets and live foods. Keep a group of at least 3-4 individuals. Avoid aggressive fish. Perform 20% weekly water changes. Fry should be protected from adults.
