Description

Bronze corydoras grows 6-7 cm. Its body is stocky, covered with bony plates (armor). Coloration is bronze to metallic green on the back, lighter on the belly. It has sensory barbels around the mouth. It is a gregarious bottom fish that lives in groups. It is very active and sifts through the substrate for food. It is known for its hardiness.

A minimum 60-liter aquarium for a group of 5-6 individuals. Temperature 22-26°C, pH 6.0-7.5, low to medium hardness. A fine sand substrate is essential to avoid damaging barbels. A setup with hiding spots and moderate current is appreciated. Omnivorous, accepts bottom tablets, worms, and flakes. Compatible with all peaceful fish. Avoid aggressive or overly large species.
