Description
Euphyllia cristata forms massive colonies with swollen, rounded polyps, often green or brown. Polyps can reach 5 cm in diameter. It has short, puffy tentacles. It is an aggressive coral that can extend stinging tentacles at night. It feeds on medium-sized prey like brine shrimp. Growth is slow. It is sensitive to parameter fluctuations.

Parameters: temperature 24-27°C, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.024-1.026, calcium 400-450 mg/L, magnesium 1300-1400 mg/L. Moderate lighting, low to moderate flow. Minimum tank volume 100 L. Feeding: brine shrimp, mysis, small fish. Compatible with reef fish, but avoid nearby corals. Propagation by fragmentation. Keep water very clean.
