Description
Euphyllia glabrescens forms massive or branching colonies up to 30 cm. Polyps are large and fleshy, with long flexible tentacles ending in round knobs that are often fluorescent (green, pink, purple). Base color ranges from brown to green. At night, longer stinging sweeper tentacles extend to capture prey. Sexual dimorphism is absent, but colonies are gonochoric.
Habitat

Euphyllia glabrescens is found on reef slopes and in turbid waters, often on hard or mixed substrates. It prefers areas with moderate current and reduced light. Colonies can form large branching structures. The species is common in lagoons and fringing reefs.

Care notes
Tank at least 100 L, stable reef parameters. Low to moderate lighting, moderate flow. Keep at least 15 cm away from other corals due to stinging sweeper tentacles. Feed small meaty foods (brine shrimp, mysis) 1-2 times per week. Avoid sudden salinity and temperature swings. Susceptible to brown jelly disease if water is too nutrient-rich.
