Description

Colonies are massive, often plate-like or flattened dome. Corallites are polygonal, 4–9 mm, with thin walls and regular septa. Color ranges from light brown to olive green, sometimes with pink hues. Polyps are small and extend at night. This species grows slowly but forms spreading structures. It is often used as a base for other corals. In aquaria, it can reach 20 cm across.
