Description
Toxotes chatareus reaches 25-40 cm, larger than T. jaculatrix. Its body is stocky, laterally compressed, silver in color with irregular black spots on the flanks. It has the same water-jet hunting technique as its cousin. It lives in groups in South Asian estuaries.
