Description

Tetraodon fluviatilis reaches 12-17 cm. Its body is stocky, ovoid, dark green to blackish on the back and flanks with a cream-white belly. It has irregular darker spots on the back. Like other tetraodons, it can inflate when threatened and has a powerful beak that must be worn down regularly.

Same requirements as T. nigroviridis. Salinity 1.005-1.015 recommended. Minimum 150 L. Very aggressive towards other fish, keep alone or in a large species tank. Hard carnivorous diet (mussels, shrimp, snails).
