The green spotted puffer is a small brackish tetraodon covered with black spots on a yellow-green background, able to inflate when threatened.
Description
Tetraodon nigroviridis reaches 12-17 cm. Its body is stocky, ovoid, bright yellow-green dotted with irregular black spots. The belly is white. It can inflate with water or air when threatened. It is an intelligent, curious fish, but aggressive towards conspecifics. It has a parrot-like beak that grows continuously — it must wear its teeth down on shells or hard food.

Care notes
Minimum 150 L tank for a single adult. Salinity 1.005-1.015 mandatory for long-term health. Temperature 24-28°C, pH 7.5-8.5. Strong filtration. Decor with hiding spots. Diet: mussels, shrimp, snails, worms. Do not house with slow long-finned fish (will nip).
